About Us
We started from very humble beginnings during the pandemic. Training spaces were closed, but we wanted to continue our training by building a small, but functional space in a garage that allowed an intimate group to train safely during April 2020. We quickly outgrew the 168 square foot garage space and needed a larger space. In September of 2020, we started our biggest project and we converted an old/empty workshop, in the backyard of Andy’s home, into our more official training space. Although the space was more spacious (approximately 1320 square feet), the facility did not have heating or cooling, and due to COVID-19, we were all wearing masks with the garage door open, which basically meant we were training outside for 2 years! Our community had such a great attitude and would bundle up in the winter with fuzzy socks and beanies and they continued with their can-do attitude by braving the heat and working up a sweat with us in the summers.
In November of 2022, we found our permanent location, at The Castle, where the artistic environment and tall ceilings were the perfect location for the vision we had for Muok. We are so grateful for how far we have come, how loyal our community is, and how lucky we are to have such a beautiful space.
It is an eclectic building with a rich and diverse history. Before we moved into the space, it was used as an upscale Art Gallery where Nathie of NK Studios displayed his beautiful artwork. We wanted to maintain the integrity of this unique space and Nathie generously allowed us to display several of his pieces in our training space. Be sure to check it out when you come by to train!
